I just read Cindy Sheehan's goodbye statement. If she actually wrote that missive herself, then she is a lot more eloquent than I gave her credit for. I don't agree with most of what she say, but this statement does not seem like her normally incoherent ramblings. I have previously and repeatedly described Ms. Sheehan as a huge mess of a woman, a person of severly limited intellect and understanding, who (similar to what Ann Coulter said of the Jersey Moms) seemed to be enjoying the death of her son way too much. She always appeared to soak up attention, to absolutely crave it, like a smoker desperately needs nicotine.
So fellow Yahoo! respondants, what do you think? Did Cindy Sheehan write this letter, or is just another indication that she was a prepackaged product by her Liberal handlers?

TO "PENNY K" Rarely have I gotten a response I disagreed with that was as well reasoned as yours. You should be congratulated. Here is where we disagree: Ann Coulter is iconoclastic. She purposely tries to get people riled up, because she has discovered that provocation is often the only way to get an intelligent, original response. People have become so mentally lazy that they take so much for granted. They don't question the status quo. Ann Coulter tears down these barriers and forces people to confront issues they never even considered. For example, I am now convinced that global warming is not due to human intervention. Anyone who does not agree with me can just google "The Great Warming Swindle" and see an amazing movie online that totally discredits Al Gore's movie. It will leave you seething with anger and resentment that he and others are perpetrating this hoax.

My statement that she appears to be enjoying her son's death way too much is undeniable. Have you ever seen clips of her being hauled away by policemen? Instead of showing a little class, this stubborn wretch of women definantly makes these hard working policemen CARRY HER into the police wagon, and you can see by her expression she is loving it all. She could behave herself and act in a dignified, civil manner, but chooses to act like a child. Did she ever, for one second stop to consider that her son was proud of the service he gave for his country? What I hear from so many servicemen is that they are fiercely proud of how they have taking a nation out of dictatorial oppression and have given these people a chance to live a life of freedom, with guaranteed rights for everyone. Her son was probably proud of his contribution, while she is saying the opposite, that it was all for nothing. If I was dying in a war, my last thoughts would be: I made a difference. My death mattered.

The left turned on her, because she started to criticize the dems. They criticized the right for calling her names, and then they do it. Well, there's always Venezuela for Cindy.

Cindy Sheehan led the way for open protest over this fiasco of a war, a war started on misinformation which has led to the deaths of thousands of people, more than 3500 or so of them American soldiers.
As a grieving mother believing that her son died in vain, Cindy Sheehan had a right or perhaps an obligation to protest. Protesting governmental actions play a long and interesting part of American history. It was protests that finally led to the end of the Viet Nam War, in which about 50,000 Americans and more than a million Vietnamese were needlessly killed.
Sheehan also has the right to retire from the leadership of such protests, because this is a free country and we should be free to make our own decisions. As the mother of a soldier killed in action, Sheehan deserves the respect of every American.
Personally, I do not care who wrote the resignation letter for Cindy Sheehan. It obviously reflects her feelings. And I agree with her assessment of this war in Iraq, which is an expensive waste of lives and money. However, it is making many people very rich. Not only in weapons and equipment manufacture, but in fraud and outright theft. Almost every week, there is another report of fraudulent expensitures.
Then, too, we must remember the future oil profits. Nothing like counting up the money to be made. But Cindy Sheehan's view of the war should be an example for every American. She lost a son in a war that is not a "Noble Cause," but a black blot on the history of America.

I hope she wrote this letter. But It doesn't matter who wrote it because it paints a picture of what denial looks like. The denial in many of us, who for some reason, can't seem to understand the anguish of a mother who lost her child. I totaly disagree with this war, and I can understand why she undertook this journey in the name of her son. There are bleeding hearts everywhere, not just Cindy Sheehan's.

Obviously you have never lost a child, or been in war. This woman was venting her grief and became the poster child of the right for the "Whiny Left". Many others have protested this war and never got on TV, why her. She was a convenient diversion for the right wing to avoid answering the questions she presented and we all would like to know.
Ann Coulter, her credentials are what now?

I don't know if she wrote the letter or not.
I often felt badly for her loss, and felt gratitude toward her son. That said, I never liked the mans sacrifice being turned into the circus that it became.
I don't care for her politics, but am thankful that we live in the United States of America where she can speak her mind, whatever message she promoted.

Yes I believe that she wrote the letter. I believe that your descriptions of her as a huge mess of a woman with severely limited intellect and understanding who seemed to be ENJOYING(???)- I cannot believe you actually had the nerve to write that- the death of her son way too much was, to say the least, insensitive. To be honest it was grossly inhumane. You would have to be a sociopath not to empathize with this woman, which I guess is why you would even bring up Ann Coulter as someone with half a brain, and a speck of a heart. There are ancient ice glaciers warmer than that woman. So because Cindy Sheehan is finally fed up with the entire government and has taken it to the left now you can respect her views?
Grief has nothing to do with liberalism, or being conservative. It is about the death of a loved one. It is the searing pain that is in your heart every day because a child that you brought into this world and loved and cared for is now gone. Along with him, every dream you ever had for him and every dream he ever had for himself that he shared with you unrealized, and unfinished.
To name call someone that is going through that kind of pain is heartless, and cruel.
The fact that she gets up every day and speaks for what she believes in is what impresses the hell out of me.

I never thought about Cindy that much other than a p.o'ed woman mad at the death of her son.
It was sad to watch the liberals turn on her, when she started holding the Congressional Democrats to the same set of standards as the Congressional Republicans and President.

If she was packaged by the liberals, I certainly wouldn't want them packaging anything for me! I think Sheehan surely must have been a huge embarrassment for the democrats, but for some reason they seemed to eat it up. OR, maybe she wasn't an embarrassment, maybe they thought she was making sense with her babble. Liberals fall for worse every day.

the one thing that we all should realize is not to allow any party or any agenda to take over the truth or the facts of any matter, dear to any one.
our Media and Politicians will do anything and everything to get their points across to public weather that point is good for our
country or not.
