I'm not aware that China does hate the US. We buy so many goods from that country, they are doing well because of our buying power. If they hated us in the past, it was probably due to our foreign policy, which often crushed over the interests of other nations. We have never learned to play nice in the world's sand box with the other kids. It's always been a reflection of our power and hedgemony.

What gives you the impression that China hates the United States? To the contrary I feel that there is more hate towards China here in the States than that of Chinese hating Americans in China. The US media use's fears of "communist" threat to sell papers. Now that USSR is/was a minor issue they've concentrated on making China the bad guy. I assure you that most people in China do not have any bad feelings towards us here in America.

Most people do not understand what communism is and are heavily influenced by the propaganda from the cold war, however it is undeniable that no attempt at communism has ended in how Marx envisioned. The reason the Soviet Union/China/Cuba/Cambodia/Eastern Europe etc all went against Marx's idea of communism is because the concept is impossible to put it practice, any attempt to do so ends in totalitarian rule. The whole idea is quite outlandish, makes too many incorrect assumptions about human nature and can never work.

China has the largest poulatoin on Earth. However they have always taken a backseat to Russia and the US as far as being a superpower is concerned. Even after the fall of the USSR they were not afffored a lot of respect.

Now they have what should be the greatest economy in the history of the world but it is mostly on paper. The United States is in debt to China, a debt that can never and will never be paid, because that debt is the only thing of value that China has.

As long as the US owes China, they can get loans and lines of credit on the world economy, but without the US debt their economy is in shambles and no investors will take the risk on a disorganized communist country.

What a ridiculous premise. China doesn't "hate" the United States. Nevertheless, two of the most powerful and most populous countries in the world are going to butt heads from time to time.

The main source of tension between China and the U.S. is Taiwan. China insists that Taiwan is part of mainland China and should be folded in (the "One China" policy). But the U.S. provides Taiwan military assistance. China considers this to be provocative.

Other sources of tension between China and the U.S. are economic - stemming from China's desire to preserve its own interests. This is all about competition. China tends to deflect external criticism very aggressively, and to be secretive in its internal matters.

Because both want to be at the center of the world stage.

So some say that life is a play
And that all the world is a stage
For another part I pray
The show is the same way every day.

What, since when did China start hating the US. Besides poisoning our pets they give us many products that would cost more if we made them here. God bless china and the goods they send us for cheap. Without the US, China would be broke so I doubt they hate us. Those who make the items probably hate us though.

you'd be surprised how pro-american the chinese people are. you rarely hear them say a bad word about the US. the chinese government feels threatened. any democracy is a threat to their power. after the T-square riots they opened up economically in an attempt to keep power a little longer, but we'll see how that goes
