Yes, I'm sick of their whinging. They hate the English and have their own parliament so lets let them get on with it on their own. This would benefit everyone else in Britain - taxes would probably fall due to less unemployment benefit being paid out and it would put a stop to Scottish MP's voting on English matters in Westminster.

YES, I think Scotland should have full independence, Hadrian's wall repaired with barbed wire along the top of it, all Scots made to register as aliens in the UK and all Scots politicians barred from sitting in Westminster.... that just to start with-
Save us from the Scots and their knavish tricks!

So sad...this question has been asked umpteen times already. All it serves to do is bring the English Xenophobes out from under their "Union Jack" painted rocks with a slanted & incorrect view of Scotland & indeed our relationship with England.

To re-iterate on what i've already said a million times before...
YES, if only to get away from the idiotic Xenophobes, the type of which have left some comments on your thread. Thank God sensible people outnumber these in both nations.

Try the 18th Century Gaz & I can't see many Englishmen playing bagpipes or speaking Gaelic do you? Scottish culture is unique & distinct from that in England, as I suspect it is in Wales & Northern Ireland too.

Absolutely. All Acts of Unions must be scraped. We strongly support Scotland in its quest for independence.

No scotland will get little benefit from independance. The SNP act like England has annexed it and has treated it like a colony, which is all lies and spin. Scotland has been a very important part of the union..its soldiers have fought all over the world under the union flag and fought with distinction, the scottish enlightenment helped keep Britain way ahead of its rivals in the nineteenth century, it shares its culture with the rest of Britain, and receives billions of pounds from the rest of the uk every year. why would it leave the union? it would only join the EU and would be joined to England, Wales and Ireland under a bigger flag. I think the SNP are trying to stir up nationalist sentiment for its own ends only, it serves little for Scots (like myself) and i welcome the day they disappear.

Scotland is the only country to not have a right of centre major party.

I think this gives them a funny, yet suicidal, attitude to politics. All the parties compete to be more authoritarian and spend of taxpayers money.

Glad I don't live there.

I don't spend any of my time wondering about that - the countries in the UK are too closely integrated for it to have a positive effect. The only thing that irks me is being told it would be a disaster and we couldn't do it. I don't see why it isn't possible - it would be up to us to make a success of it anyway in the event.
