ok well my bf just called me and said that he loved me so with all of his heart and that he would never do and think to hurt me but then he said that he needed some space..........what deos this mean??? and i dont' know if i'm happy about it or not........but i can't stop thinking about him..............not like needing him........just thinking of him in general...........like, i keep thinking if i should go out with another guy or wait for him to make up his mine........my bff said that he did something that he feels guilty over and that's why he needed space.......... is she right or no......help..........

You've just been dumped.
"I need space" = "I don't want to go out with you any more."
"I did something I feel guilty about." = "I cheated on you."
"I love you with all my heart and would never do anything to hurt you." = "I cheated on you."
Trust me, you don't have to wait for him to make up his mind, he's already made it up. He's dumped you and moved on, and so you should move on too.

I went through something similar with my girlfriend. I love her with everything but I needed some space to take a look at our relationship. We were going out for 4 years then and i needed some time to think about stuff mainly my future and if i saw her in my future. I didn't stop feeling for her and I didn't do anything wrong. We ended up back together and we are going to be celebrating our 5 year soon. This doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. Give it some time and don't date other guys to hurt him but if there are other guys you are truly interested in go for it.

hey, i don't think he wants to break up with you, and if you truly trust him, this probably isn't an issue with another girl. think about it for a while, even though it might hurt: how much have you been around him lately? have just the two of you been hanging out together, excluding friends? If this is true, then it really could be that he just needs some space. don't look for another guy unless you want to hurt him and damage your relationship. just enjoy your friends and family right now. hope things work out, good luck

He probably feels guilty about doing something with another girl much like you feel guilty about holding another boys hand in a movie theater. Just tell him you want to go back to dating him rather than having a purely monogomous relationship as implied by the boyfriend/girlfriend label.

I had the same thing happen. He needed a break and i waited for him. I didn't know this but he went out with like 3 girls and then came crawling back to me. My advice.. do not wait for him. It's a bad idea. Find a new guy to make him jealous

No, it means time to cool it down. If he would have said I think we need to break up then that would have thrown a red flag.
Space means I need to handle some stuff, I need ME time, I need to concentrate on this, it does not necessarily mean break up.
Also don't let your friends get into your business too much, advice is good, but them telling you what to do is doing what is best for them and not necessarily what is best for you.

maybe he did something wrong and doesn't want to hurt you or he had someone else on his mind so he wants an excuse to put you aside until things don't work out with her then maybe come back to you later.Or maybe he couldn't keep up with you so he want to be alone for a little while and come back later or not coming back at all.
