Because ignorant people are not a threat to anyone.
Intelligent people threaten people without even knowing it, so people fell bad about themselves when they are around intelligent people because intelligent people make them fell stupid.

Im not 100% sure but I believe it's partially because the majority of people choose to be ignorant, they don't question anything, they'd rather read teen magazines and go shopping at the mall...
and since they're the majority - and in this twisted world the majority is supposed to be right - haha - theyre more inclined to turn to other superficial idiots like themselves for information and guidance
it's sad really... how do you think george bush became president in a democratic system... haha... (oh wait never mind the vote was rigged)
Also - think of the book 1984 - the powerful few were always trying to keep the people dumb with distractions like cheap novellettes, distasteful pornos, low quality alcohol all that nonsense.. the more distracted and ignorant the people are the more power the elite has... and thats how they like it.
Not to mention that the dumb kids were always the cool ones in most large groups...

Wow, I just spent points to ask basically the same thing. I am appalled by the violations I see on these pages, and the failure to weed out offensive questions or answer. I quess some are lured by ignorance because of some impairment, the poor fish. Others are just grabbing an easy 2 points. Get busy all of you of sound mind and start passing out "Flag Offensive" to the toads. Let's clean up our town. Catch this one quick, because there is to much good sense and IQ here not to draw fire.

Most of the time the ignorant ones make more noise so they get more attention only for bad reasons so anyways it just feels that way...SMILE
