i usually wear my seat belt for those of you who seem to be getting testy (and besides the point) when i pulled out of the dentist after getting some fillings i was in pain, there was a cop at the light behind me, he followed me a block and pulled me over for the seat belt. so cut the petistal bull- no one is perfect.

I've learned to plead guilty and pay the thing.

you go to court with no justification for your actions and they are going to slap court costs on top (a beast).
I had a 25 dollar ticket have over a hundred dollars added in court costs.

No, because they will take the officer's word over yours 95% of the time. You would also be lying under oath. Both leading to a more severe punishment and a felony charge.

Wear your damn seat belt, and plead guilty.

When considering a seat belt law, you have to consider the danger to other people you are causing by not wearing it. When you are in a car wreck, you can be launched as an object, and land on others killing them on impact by not wearing your seat belt. That is why its a law, and not a choice. Maybe you don't want to wear a seatbelt because of your dumbass beliefs, but killing another person by not wearing yours in the car makes you stupid.

In most states your insurance does not go up: this is a none point ticket. Plead not guilty, that does not work: either you had the belt on or not! If you do try this tell the court you popped it when pulled over to get to your wallet and papers. the court MITE BUY THAT>

1. Plead guilty, and ask the judge to grant you community service instead of having the violation go on your record.

2. Start wearing your goddamn seat belt.

If you lie to a judge you will get a bigger punishment for purgery in the courtroom, theres no use, as long as a cop has the ticken with his signature and the proof of a ticket last time your done, theres no point in fighting the law. You either win against it or loose, sry dude, click it or ticket

No 200 is about the price of a first offense. Second offense is about 300-500.

I agree that the seatbelt (nanny) laws are ridiculous for adults.

I wear one because it is the smart thing to do, not because I worry about a ticket.

Plead guilty and wait to get reamed by your insurance company. I guarantee that they will find out anyway, if they haven't already.
