That is a mute question. Some people say that there is, and others like myself are a bit more skeptical. No matter. If there is "intelligent" life on other planets, (the operative word is "intelligent"), I hope that they are smart enough to stay away from our planet. Imagine the culture shock they would have to learn that we have become a destructive people, have created the perfect weapon to wipe out mankind; go to war at the drop of a hat; can put a man on the moon, but can't cure the common cold; talk about peace, even compose songs about peace and can't seem to do a darn thing to bring it about. So much for our intelligence!!!

I hope so, 'cause there's bugger all down here on Earth!

Seriously, 100 billion stars in a galaxy, 100 billion galaxies in the universe, more and more stars are being discovered to have planets. It's likely. The Drake Equation supposedly gives the number of alien civilisations near to us, try googling it.

Maybe we won't ever meet though, speed of light being unbreakable and us being too far apart. Still, its cool to think that intergalactic empires and alien wars are happening right now.

Not as far as we know, but we don't know a heckuva lot yet.

It seems unlikely that any other planet within hundreds of lightyears has developed a technological civilization. If one had, then we would most likely have picked up radio signals by now. However, there may well be pre-technological civilizations in our stellar neighborhood, and there could easily be technological civilizations further away.

yes, if there are billions of stars in each of the billions of galaxies, there is bound to be some intelligent life out there

It's very possible, but we don't have any evidence of that yet.

if god can create something in his image, (i.e. us) then he can create things that aren't.
and, if the universe is as big as scientists say it is then there's gotta be something else out there.
