I'm not depleted, I simply forgot where I put things. I still remember Hendrix, Woodstock, and Jim Morrison being arrested in Miami. Lost some good friends in Nam, and never had the opportunity to engage in free love (too young). But I remember the words of Dr. King and the Better Red than Dead posters. Saw the rise of civil rights, had an uncle at Kent State, and sang along with Janis.
Wouldn't trade it for the world.

Although we do not see hippies as much as we did in previous generations, their legacy and impact still lives on in our society today for the were literally a "revolution" in our history. Also remember that history repeats itself and even if hippies do not come back as strong as they once were, they are with us nonetheless.

There are still a few of them in the sea.
But they are on the brink of extinction.
We have to save the awesome hippies.

I'm still alive, and somewhat kicking. I was just a wee bit too young for Woodstock, I was still in high school and, well, not all that rebellious yet.

They are almost all gone. The ones that are left have slowed down quite a bit. tf
