Some friends and I were talking about this, and we weren't really sure if Euro Trip, the movie, was a reliable source. How much nudity is allowed to shown on European television? Is it stricter in some countries more than others? I just want to know so I don't make any false conclusions.

In Europe they show everything. On Sex and the City for example, they actually show the sex scenes (with the nudity) in them.

Something is only illegal if it is specifically forbidden by law. With that definition it's actually legal in most states for women to go topless. Only a handful of state laws specifically state a "womans breast" constitutes nudity. Most states word it "genitals" or even "private parts". These laws when challenged can be beat as was the case in Ohio where the courts ruled "breast are not genitals" thereby "legalizing toplessness" or more specifically clarifying it was never illegal. In reality, few women have taken advantage of this new freedom, so few that Ohio hasn't found it necessary to rewrite their law to include topless.

Less than the United States it is pretty much illegal on European television.
