Read the "Slightly Series" by Mary Balogh.. It is a six book series set in Regency England about the six Bedwyn siblings and their love stories. Balogh is a very detailed and intriguing author. I love her writing style..She believes in very sensual detail, but committed to her characters in a way that makes for a great romantic read. I went through a Romance novel kick about four years ago and I read all six of these books in one summer.
Slightly Married
Slightly Wicked
Slightly Scandalous
Slightly Sinful
Slightly Tempted
Slightly Dangerous
I have not read any Romance since..I moved onto Fantasy, but after reading these why bother with anyone else???
Happy Reading!

One romance novel that I have especially enjoyed is The Mermaid's Song by Marianne Willman. It has an interesting storyline along with some tasteful yet hot & passionate scenes.
Some other romances that I've enjoyed:
The Last Mermaid by Shana Abe
Goddess Of The Sea by P.C. Cast
Also try Mr. Darcy Takes A Wife by Linda Berdoll. It's Pride & Prejudice continued with lots of love & passion between Elizabeth & Darcy.

1. Nora Roberts- also goes by J.D. Robb. Her "In Death" series is really great, its got romance, suspence, and futuristic themes.
2. Janet Evanovich- Her Stephanie Plum series have romance, and are a laugh riot. i really recommend all her books
3. Jayne Ann Krentz- If there ever was a truely magnificant romance writer its Jayne Ann Krentz, who also goes by Jayne Castle.
4. Carly Phillips- Another one of my favorites, some of my favorites by her are Summer Lovin', Hot Stuff, the Playboy, The Heartbreaker, The Bachlor (The last three are a series).

I enjoyed Breathing Room by Susan Elizabeth Phillips. It's contemporary but set in Tuscany so you get some old-world charm, and there's a lot of witty banter, which is fun.

Anything by Constance O'Banyon is awesome, as well as Nora Roberts. Nora Roberts' Key Trilogy is quite romantic as well as suspenseful! Of course, Danielle Steel is always a safe bet. If you haven't read her books "Crossings" or "Kaleidoscope," then I strongly recommend them! They are old but still fun!

I'm not sure if the works of Giovhanii Buen is now out in the market, but I heard from a circle of writers here in Manila that he's works is really cool. sex, violence, love, romance and spirituality rolled into one.
