A good rule of thumb is to rename your mp3s after you download them into a standard convention.

I use Artist - [Title]. This also makes it much easier to browse songs by artist, for you know all songs by the artist will be generally in one area.

Remember, though -- you also need to have a rule about bands with "a, an, or the" before their name. Otherwise you could still get copies, e.g.

"The Cars - Drive" and "Cars - Drive." I just drop the articles completely.

Yes i have this problem also That I why I stopped using iTunes and the problem cleared up.
