I'm in Sunderland and although I've only been in it once, I love St. Peter's church because of the sheer age of the place, it's over 1,300 years old.

Transporter bridge, (people may argue that its not a building, but it was "built" so therefore a building :))

Made in the early 1900's, it was built by the very famous Northern England bridge building company. One of the bridges built fell down >.<, but this one is standing firm!

It is the symbol of Middlesbrough, well apart from the smog :) but that is a stereotype, as Newcastle is more polluted than Teesside nowadays.

I live in Saltash in Cornwall and although its not really a building my favourite large structure is the Brunel Bridge - I can see it and all the boats under it from my house. Its really nice lit up at night and it brings everyone into Cornwall. (once you come across it you have to pay £1 to get back over it though!!!)

Houston. Downtown the Enron Bldg. I think it is called something different now.
Outside downtown. Smith Towers, it used to be Transco Towers. It is the tallest building, not in a downtown area, west of the Mississippi river.
