i belive u might be correct but not to much is sure on this. I have also heard that the moon landing is a fake. In the movie and the pictures from the moon landind the flag is waving but there is no wind in space....also the flag went in perfectly to the ground and there is limited gravity on the moon so how is the flag stayin in that good? And if you look into space from the video and pictures there are NO stars in the backround but yet BILLIONS in the galaxy? How can u not see one star...So there have been other landings that may be fake so i might have to agree with ur theory. The mars landing might be fake

If you couldn't keep up in science class, you will never be able to understand the explanations proving all the Moon landings and Mars [and all other NASA missions] did happen and are real. I will try the more simple ones...
Flag moving....guess everytime you bump something it stays perfectly still, huh; nothing has momentum or inertia that you interact with? First, the flag is on a pole stuck into the ground. It gets bumped alot. After being bumped, it oscillates back and forth, like a pendulum on a clock, until all the energy has dissipated. So, it will be moving even after they aren't in contact with it anymore. But, it doesn't stay waving forever. Plus, the makeup of lunar soil/rock is conducive to resonating the energy of footsteps. Thus, their way of bouncing when they walk [which is the easiest way to move around in 1/6 g], causes little vibrations in the pole causing the wire through the top of the flag to move making the flag to appear to be flapping.
No stars. Just like here on earth, if it is daytime, it's not likely you're going to see any stars except the Sun.
Images looking funny/flaws. Well, start taking snap shots with a camera of your surrounding area by clicking off a pic, turning a bit, clicking off another pic, turning, etc until you have 360 degreees worth of pics in the camera. Now, get home, put all the pics together into a single perfect panorama. Can't be done. The light rays bouncing from an object into the camera lens are not bouncing from exactly the same point on object to lense if the camera has moved in any way--such as turning. So, when putting all the pictures together into a 2D pic of a 3D rock or something, it's going to get slightly "Picasso-ed" at the edges of each frame. [ If you don't know what I mean by "Picasso-ed" you don't know ANYTHING about imaging. Personally I don't care at all about art museums and think they should all be converted to science museums and even I know what Picasso was doing in his paintings. Anyway, I digress...]
So, please show me ANY "reason' why the Moon landings and/or other NASA missions were/was faked that cannot be explained by simple scientific explanation. I have yet to see any hoax theory that hasn't been debunked.

The rest of the planet laughs about the 'dumbing down of america' and after looking at these answers there is no need to wonder why. The USA was involved in not only an arms race in the 1960's but a space race. Just as the germans developed triangulation methods for detecting radio signals during WW2, the russians and chinese both had that ability in the 1960's. If the USA faked a moon landing the russians AND the chinese would have BOTH detected that the human voice signals had either been bounced or earth based. So to fake a moonlanding you would ALSO have to have a global conspiracy to cover it up. If you stooges would actually crack some science text books rather then a crack pipe you would know this. The only reason people say there wasnt a moon landing is because it is easier to market a conspiracy book then a SCIENCE book, because there is more stupid people willing to waste their money on that kind of book then to actually STUDY a science book. EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING the USA does in space is INSTANTLY tracked by russian and china EVEN TODAY! So my advice to you guys is get off the crack pipe and start cracking some science books and stop letting slick marketers take your hard earned money by selling you totally half baked ideas about what reality is.

I am guessing you are refering to this picture. And even I can see what´s wrong with it. It´s red and green! Mars is supposed to be all red!
So you are a 3d graphics artist. Are you a compositing artist too? Skilled in the art of processing astronomical pictures so that ordinary people can see what´s on them? And if you are how come YOU don´t have a link to a picture with proof of your claim? You do of course realize that pictures sent back from the Mars rover may have been taken while the rover was tilting 10 degrees? How fun would it be to view such a picture? Almost all pictures have been processed and enhanced and stiched together from a series of pictures to make just one single picture worth looking at. If you really are a 3d graphics artist you would know what renderpasses are and why they are used. Same principle applies to astronomical photos.

I have never read such nonsense in my life! I have followed the Mars Rover project for many years, and know some of the scientists and engineers involved personally. They are honest dedicated people, and their results have been one of the two most stunning achievements of humanity in my lifetime; the only thing that compares is the Apollo Moon Landings. Have you read Steve Squires' or Jim Bell's books? Have you examined a significant number of the tens of thousands of images on the NASA/JPL web sites? Have you talked to any of the scientists and engineers involved? I have, and I trust these people absolutely.

Hollywood makes fake pictures of Mars, not NASA. NASA images are computer generated in the first place. Lastly, what is there to gain in fooling the public with such an outrageous conspiracy? Turn off your computer, walk out the door and see the real world.

Wow.
And do you really think that anyone who read that ranting, incoherent argument would actually believe that you are a 3D Graphic Artist...
And even if you are... you obviously aren't very good at it.
Get off the computer and go read a book... geez. Talk about the stupidity of young Americans these days. It makes me sick, not only to see how ridiculously gullible and affected they are, but when I realize that I am a young American and I have to be lumped in with the likes of this asker and some of those that answered this question.

Just because you think you can replicate it doesn't make it fake. Pretty much anything can be faked at this point, but the Mars missions were not faked. We have plenty of other evidence - which NASA is not going to supply to you, because they have no reason whatsoever to validate your conspiracy theories by trying to prove you wrong. There's no point, conspiracy theorists will never accept the truth.

You say you have proof? Present it then. I am fully willing to belive any argument that is based in fact against the moon landings and martian landings.
Also, you say that you see many mistakes in the pictures. How can you know unless you've been to Mars?

Faked it? If they went wanted to fake it they would have made it more cool. Thrown in some martians and plants.
Keep in mind that photos from mars date back to the 70s. when computer graphics couldn't replicate a landscape like that.
