I remember getting cramps so bad I thought my period was coming. I had no spotting.

Then I found out I was pregnant.

I think as long as you are not seeing any red blood, you should be ok. But you might just chat with your ob or a nurse to put your mind at ease.

If the cramping is mainly on one side and radiates to the other it may be an ectopic pregnancy and you should not wait long before contacting your doctor. Another reason can be, as it was in my case, the expanding of the uterus and streaching of the ligaments is what is causeing the cramping. In eirther case getting it checked out will ease some worries and help you enjoy your pregnancy. Good luck.

Go to your doctor. Just cramps or just little spotting is okay, but both of them can be sigh that something can be wrong. Everybody is different, my friend had cramps and spotting for 3 days and everything is fine now, I had the same and in my case it was a miscarriage. Don't wait go to your doctor now. At least you will not worry. Stay in a bed and rest for that much you need. Baby is the most precious treasure you have. God bless you.

Some cramping is perfectly normal, but severe cramping can be a sign of an ectopic pregnancy, so you're going to want to rule that out at your doctors office asap.
