Following Lindsey Lohan's arrest, a detective stated the LAPD found a "useable" amount of cocaine. Exactly, how much is that under the law?

I'll take a shot at this question.

I would assume that it means that they found an amount that could be reasonably surmised was for her personal use and her personal use only. If there was a larger quantity they would classify it as possession with intent to distribute, meaning that she had enough to sell.

Useable amount of cocaine? it's probably just a line.

A gram of coke contains about 10-20 lines..depending how fat they are...

But ya, a useable amount is most likely only a line, if it was a gram, they would have stated that...or even more. but it was probably to small of ann amount to really say it was even a half of a gram..

1 gram or 2 ounce.... basically 1 hit was what she had on her.

Usable means she could snort it, it wasn't just left over residue. And she didn't have a brick of it to sell.
