I love all sorts of movies. Those about people under stress help me understand others more & possibly teach me how to handle a similar situation in real life.

"Stranger Than Fiction" was great and about someone under stress. I guess I'd have to answer yes. Stress and tension make good stories. After all, how interesting was "My Dinner With Andre"?

Yes, like "Man On Fire." If a character is not under stress, the plot lags. It needs to build up, ease off, and build up again.

Yes, they make me quite nervous, I'm sorry for the guy, but I still enjoy it.

Not really; I prefer movies that are light-hearted - I've got all the stress I need in the REAL world, thanks!
