Well, most people would suggest a one-world government, but if you're a Christian, you know that would signal the end of the world.... Otherwise I'd say that would be a good start... That way we aren't fighting over resources.... But, since that's not an option....
We could start by having national hollidays for charity events. A couple of weeks (spaced out) vacation from work (paid) if you are doing charity events...
Instead of some of the bogus taxes we have now, have taxes to fund research for cures for diseases and cancers.
Completely go over our justice system and get rid of the corrupt judges and other people who need to be weeded out. That way the guilty are more likely found guilty and given a sentence according to the crime, and the innocent are more likely innocent instead of being charged so they have to pay the fines and fees...
All around, if each individual person would adjust some of their attitudes and ideals, we'd be better off. If people could stop being so hateful towards interratial couples, specific races and nationalities, homosexuals.... And if people would learn that they aren't always right, and they need to admit when they are wrong and apologize. And yet others need to stop freaking out over the little things that other people do....
If the government would make it easier to get hybrid cars, and if more funding went into the research and making of said cars, that'd help with our polution and fuel resources....
Make abortion as illegal as murder. (This is a big issue with me) And provide better places for orphans to live. Make parents who adopt go through some testing beforehand...
There is ALOT we can do, that we just don't do, or aren't allowed or able to do. But, if anything is going to change, people have to do it as a whole, and not just a couple here and there.

Stop all news casting of people like Paris Hilton & Lohan & Permanently ban pop acts like Britney & all future boybands & cancel American Idol.
It would clear the air for GOOD music to prevail.

well, mostly i think you have to actually DO something, not just talk about it... i mean there is poverty all around us, yet we keep going shopping, and just feel sorry for them.
there are drugs being sold in our neighborhood, and we just stay inside, because we don't wanna get involved.
the best way to make the world a better place is to pick something, anything, that is close to you that you could get involved in and actually do it.

We need stop asking and start acting. there are so many ways we just need to pick one. Pick up trash on the side of the road, befriend someone who has none, promote world peace...
Get your hands dirty and make a difference.

A good start would be embracing diversity and not focus on our "differences".
After all, we are all part of one race - the human race.
