Of course, it's good.

However, it's not the best.
MP3 players from Creative, Sony, Iriver, Cowon, etc are of much higher quality when it comes to sound quality. Apple didn't even develop their own audio chips to be used in their Ipods...

It's quite amusing to look at the rather ignorant answers you've gotten so far. Instead of asking on yahoo, why don't you sample other mp3 players with your own ears? (That's if some of your friends have yet to enlist into the mass-brainwashed Apple army, that is.)

The quality doesn't depend on the player, it depends on the quality of the file that you put on the player. A 28kpbs mp3 will sounds no where as good as a 160kbps mp3 which is cd quality. If you put these two files on any mp3 player you will notice the difference.

The other factor that effects sound quality is the medium is which you listen it though. Quality earphones or speakers make music sound better. If you have cheap earphones/speakers it definately won't sounds as good as it should.
