Yeah, I would. Not sure I would ask a stranger though. I would definately as a co-worker or friend.

If I see something I like, I ask about it - man, woman, or child.
Sometimes if you ask a teenager you get a strange look, but I just say " My son/daughter has been looking for them! Where did you find them? "
Everyone always tells me, so I must be doing it right.
Oh, don't forget to include a compliment - "That color looks great on you/I really like those shoes/nice haircut" etc.
Like everything else, this gets easier the more you do it.

whilst your question is unquestionably extra a rant than a question, i think of "Whipping woman" by skill of Julia Serano bargains with this question particularly plenty. the single be conscious precis? Sexism. classic sexism, it is. With classic sexism, it truly is clever that a woman might desire to act like a guy, as a guy has ability. It does not make any experience at centred on a guy to desire to act like a woman, as a woman is susceptible. This, of direction, ignores the actual undeniable fact that some women are masculine, and a few adult men are female. On regular that's no longer real, yet wanting all women to be female and all adult men to be masculine is analogous to wanting all and sundry to be directly -- valuable, society might get alongside extra clever, yet you may to boot desire all and sundry replaced into born a white, anglo-saxon protestant. it truly is on no account going to ensue, and residing in some strange pretend worldwide the place it truly is lifelike to assume such issues is residing in a worldwide the place it truly is totally nicely to be irrationally biased. until femininity is valued, adult men wearing stereotypically female outfits would be looked down upon. (of direction, as yet another answerer places it, in case you place on what you place on with self belief, maximum folk will settle for it.)

I don't see a problem with that... but then again, I live in NYC where even the straight guys keep up to date on fashion.

I heard one but not shoes. I heard one of my classmate asking where my other classmate, got his burberry shawl. It's kinda funny cause you wouldn't expect guys to check fashion or shawl.

I don't think this is a problem, if he's a stranger oh well what he thinks... I might compliment him and ask where he got them... no big deal.
