It should be. Unfortunately, we are an entertainment-driven society. That much is evident simply by examining how many people react strongly to the political opinions of singers, actors and comedians. These are people who, while they have the absolute right to express whatever opinion they want in any forum that will allow them to use it, really aren't qualified enough to affect MY political opinions.
I don't know why so many people get upset when entertainers speak out. I don't know anyone who changed his or her mind about politics because a Tom Cruise or a Susan Sarandon told them to.
But it's that attitude - that sentiment that politics is a game, something fun, something to take lightly and to use to hurt other people - that drives many people's daily life. It's very sad, it's very scary and it needs to stop.
Our government should be thinking about US. That's its job.

Politics is about none of those things, and it's also not about name-calling, such as calling people who disagree with you "neo-cons".
Politics is about POWER. The methods of politicians include questioning patriotism and name calling, and also confusing people as to what the purpose of government actually is about.
Government isn't about ensuring freedom. In the American system, it is about safeguarding the BLESSINGS of liberty, but freedom and liberty do NOT come from governments. They especially do not come by restricting the liberty of people to say what they want, smoke what they want, drive what they want, and confiscate a third or more of their income to pay for restrictions of their liberty.

The prosperity and survival of this country is NO game.
As to the "most" patriotic, Libs must first demonstrate SOME patriotism before they could be in the running for "most" patriotic.

Why do you post on this website and bash Republicans? Talk about playing games. Why insult over half of your fellow countrymen and then give us your "better our mutual situation" speech?

The Am Radio and Fox Talking Heads have brainwashed them to think it is a high school football game and it doesn't matter what your team does you must support them at all times.
Fine for a sports team, not so good for a nation.
