When you register to vote you are a member. Dues are voluntary and are actually donations.

No, not for the more established parties. Some of the smaller ones might request dues, but they'd probably be happy just to have your membership without them too.

parties will ask for money, especially when there is an election. but you dont have to give. they can't kick you out of the party
