I thought sperm could live inside you for about 7 days. Ok..for the other part I think it could be a good chance. My last period was December 4th, and I had conceived on the 18 of December..(14 days after my period)so that may be exactly right.

Sperm can live inside you up to 72 hours. Your best bet is to have sex a couple days before ovulation as well as the day you ovulate.

I've heard different answers on this from fertility experts. Some say up to 6 days, others say it's only like 3-4 days.
Your chances for getting pregnant are always really good if you are intimate during your ovulation window.

Sperm have "boy" and "girl" varieties (seriously)
The Boys swim faster but don't survive that long. The girls last much longer.
Most suggest a few days to as many as five.

Actually you don't ovulate 14 days after your period, but 14 days before your period is due.
