I think your dad would accept your acting dream if you make it a point to also show him that you're doing other things to ensure a good future in case acting doesn't work out. I know that when you have a dream, you'd rather die than admit that it might not turn out, but your father knows how hard it can be to support yourself and possibly a family someday if you don't have something in place, such as education, etc. What I would do if I were you is say, "Dad, acting is what I want to do with my life, but I know it is a good idea to have something to fall back on, so I am planning on keeping up with my studies and going to college while I try to pursue my acting career." I think this will show your dad that you are mature and responsible and that you'll be all right, no matter what you do. That's all he wants is to know you have a secure future. I would like to know how to convince my parents of these things also. Try putting this in the family/relationships section

do it regardless what he says. if its what you want to do than do it. My dad refused to accept that i wanted to play the guitar all my life and i bought one and im still playing even though he doesnt like it.

Be an actor! Act like you wanna do it your way,not his,and do your thing! When he see's you have talent,he'll accept it!
