You could wear riding pants. See ref below but that is overkill.
The main thing to remember is wear pants (jeans) that stretch. If you do some research you will find that 99% of the cowboys (real cowboys) wear stretch jeans. Usually Levis, Lee and Wrangler. They also last longer. A pony tail always makes the chicks look cute and younger :-
Another secret: Guys in the saddle a long time also wear pantyhose to stop the friction but if hot that might be a problem.

A five mile trail ride can build up a lot of blisters! If you wear jeans, make sure they don't have an inside seam down the leg, that can rub your leg raw. That's why Wrangler jeans don't have one, only outside seam. Make sure the fit is only slightly loose, too loose will bunch up, too tight and you won't be able to get on/off or breathe. Most important is a shoe with a heel and closed toe. You want enough heel to keep your foot from going through the stirrup. Tennis shoes are not a good idea.

Wear skinny jeans
Two loose braids
A flannel long sleeve shirt (if it's cold where you live)
If it's not cold just wear a cute screened tee
Jeans aren't very comfortable but skinny feel better.
If you have anything that would be more comfortable you may want to try to put an outfit with it together.
When you ride horses for a long time you chafe and it is uncomfortable unless you are used to it.
I ride my horse all the time so skinny are comfy for me.
If you are just staring try something different until you get adjusted!

Jeans might be uncomfortable because the seam on the inside of your leg may rub and get uncomfortable and hot. when i ride i just go super comfortable...sweatpants or basketball shorts. i would just put you hair in to low pony tails.

you can wear your hair in a ponytail. Wear a t-shirt and jodfers (a jacket if it's chilly) and boots up to the knees.
