The best car is the car that fits.
Fits you and your stuff.
Fits your wallet.
Fits your fuel and maintenance bills.
Fits your ego.
Fits on the road, so a few more of us can share it.
Fits your insurance company.
Fits your friends.

I like the Toyota Avalon. It's thee poor man's Lexus, same car, lower price. I've driven Honda Accords, Camry's, and Nissan's, but I really enjoyed driving the Avalons. They get very good fuel economy, great HP and terrific ride comfort. However they seem to be attracting mostly older men, who don't need the status symbol of a Lexus.

Best, how? Reliablity, quality, performance, fuel efficiency, style, roominess, owner satisfaction, comfort, resale value, price, safety, or all the above?

Consumer Reports magazine, April issue, is the best overall source for ratings based on all of the above factors -- for both used and new cars.

It depends what you will use it for. If you are going to be traveling and need room for suitcases or if you store a lot of stuff in a car a Chevy Blazer is good. If it is for going back and forth to work a Toyota Camry would be recommended

It depends on how it will be used, and by whom, but overall the Honda Accord is the best car you can buy. Bets value, good gas mileage, very comfy, great resale value, well made, etc.

that's a very subjective question.

I prefer North American to imports, so I'd go with the Corvette for pure speed and fun.
