Really need more information to go on. Look closely at the fish and the affected area for any other signs of problems and include those in an additon to your answer.

I think I know what you're talking about. I had a similar thing happen to my angel. I found this on the web, I hope it helps.

What you're seeing is probably a lip fibroma. There is a study that suggests this is caused by a virus, that only activates when the angelfish is under stress. There is some evidence that it usually affects female angelfish, or at least that they are more susceptible. There is no cure, just as the cure for most viruses have not been found. I would not try to use such an angelfish as a breeder, because no one knows if there is a genetic factor influencing the angel fish's susceptibility to this virus. Euthanasia is generally recommended to prevent a slow death by starvation. However, some have reported being able to carefully cut the growth off and not have it re-grow.

you should elaborate, fish have a large number of diseases and usually a lrge number of symptoms. I can't diagnose much, but i'm sure someone can if you get into more detail. Is the water cloudy, have they been kind of shimmying when they swim, are they eating normal amounts of food...Things like that. Or is it actually a little bit of fungus on there mouth...Details are ery crucial in diagnosing an illness in fish. They are sometimes a fragile breed of fish so you want to get it right the first time. Maybe give there age too, some things they ar emore prone too when you first get them and/or when they are first born. Good luck!
