take a FULL day and follow the main cleaning person around and make a list of activities. You will be surprised at how many different tasks are performed everyday! You then can evaluate which things you can do and then present items...not only will you learn a lot about maintaining a home but you will make points for your observations!!

Move furniture to vacuum behind them, dust the backs, and wipe down the walls, remove books from bookshelves and give them a thorough dusting, remove things from inside cabinets and scrub there.
