definitely, and the sad part is that when the media blasts images and ideas of what "beautiful" is it creates low self esteem and warped sense of self in those of us that are really into the entertainment industry. this makes people want to look like the "ideal beauty" but in reality we are all beautiful....trust me someone out there always thinks you are cute or hot, even if you think you are not

Yes and no. On the details, there are many different ideas. For example hair and eye color, jewelry or no jewelry, where to wear the jewely, how hair should be worn, etc.

But a few years ago a scientist did some work and found that regardless of culture, everyone chose people as beautiful whose facial features fit a particular set of dimensions. He even created a mask that you can download and create to see if your face fits the ideal.

Very true, in China a round face is more beautiful than a narrow one (it is changing with the internet and TV), in many countries in Africa a well padded woman is beautiful, and slim women try to fatten up. In Asia you have the Padaung with their long neck (done by putting more and more rings around their neck to stretch their neck). Slim, narrow and tanned is a brand new beauty system that started mid 20th century only, and was not considered beautiful before that.

Absolutly!
Why? From the time you are able to see with your eyes, your mother and father become the first and deepest image of what women and men should look like in order to be a loving human being. It's only when parents are horrible to their children that people detach from that and seek to find an image to correlate with love, which creates beauty.
