Don't listen to some of those answers but do listen to this. I had the same thing happen when I was 16. I am now 34..And very successful... I lost my license at 16 even though i was not driving at the time.. It was a painful experience. It taught me alot though. Be humble. Be truly sorry. Do some soul searching. I am not saying you should never in your life drink again. But think about the things that got you to this point..Try not to repeat them.

Underage drinking is underage drinking, whether you are a binge drinker or you just drank a half a Smirnoff. It is mandatory that you lose your ability to drive for a year. This means if you don't have your license you won't be able to get it, or if you do it will be suspended or revoked. There will also proabably be court fees and fines.

One or ten it's Minor in Posession of alcohol - which is a misdemeanor. If you have a clean background you will get probation, fine, and maybe community service. This will be on your juvenile record which should be sealed at 18.
Mind you - if you get in any other trouble before age 18 this offense will carry weight or if you have an previous incidents they will weigh on the decisions on this case.
Show some maturity and get yourself right - there is plenty of life to drink alcohol legally, but there is a short amount of life to get yourself on the right path!

Depends on Tennessee law, but losing your license for a certain time frame would seem reasonable and fair. You may also be required to pay a fine, do community service, take alcohol addiction classes, etc. It really all depends on state law and the judge.

wooah whts the world coming to?!
they should use the court time for worse offenses that actually endanger people, hey a ciggy is probs worse for your body than what you drank!
anyway if you're a first time offender i think you'll get off lightly. :)

It really depends on your judge. Some will let you off scot free, some will give community service, and some may give you more harsh penalties. Be more careful next time!
