Where i live a person on disability can work but is limited in earnings. I believe the most one can earn is: $500.00. and it depends what your disability. Once your on disability and you suddenly find a job you can work so long as you declare your income. When you no longer can work you go right back on disability which i am sure is different everywhere.

You cannot work full time and must remain below a set level of income in order to get disability living allowance. Say you are able to work while seated for 2 hours a day answering phones while the regular staff is at lunch, but are unable to do it for more than that due to a physical problem. You would be disabled, yet could still earn a little money.

best bet is to go and ask CAB or contact your local welfare benefits dept at your council, they will help and advise.
