We all know what it is! That little box with the red circle with a white cross that comes up sayin "you have perfromed an illegal operation"! What does that even mean! How can i stop this happening!!! Then when i click ok it closes everything and it's sooo annoying!

Get a new computer. 98 is old and not even supported by Microsoft anymore.

you have a virus....do you have a good firewall and antispyware installed...a cookie from the site where you got it is triggering the pop-up....no mater what you do it will shut the PC down....if you have an antispyware prog ...disconnect from the net...restart the PC in safe mode...then use your antispyware to scan it.....if you don't have AVG i recommend you get it ...its free for home use....it works great in safe mode.....hope you sort it anyway
