fight that stuff. depending on local laws, but most jurisdictions REQUIRE you to leave the property before it is shoplifting. i know this because i work retail loss prevention. but get the local laws on shoplifting and if they were wrong fight it. i always make sure the person leaves my store before i bust them, because, although not often, they will put it back and realize it is wrong.
But please don't do this again. being a criminal does nothing for your life but mess it up.'
if you cause enough of a stink, the DA will drop the case, because its awfully hard to prove intent when the product never left the store.

It would depend on the laws in your state. You can look that up on the internet. But you do have a prior offense, while not shoplifting, it was a bomb threat. You may need some counseling to figure out why you keep doing these illegal activities. You're only 14 and not off to a great start sweetie. Get help and turn your life around now. Good luck.

Embarrassing enough as it may be, I was once caught shoplifting at Walmart. The embarrassment alone was enough to make me never do it again. Then on top of that I had the horrible "talk" and knowing that I let me parents down and filled them with disappointment. That was honestly the worst feeling. My mom explained to me that when I stole from the store, I was hurting the company and the community; so she made me do a couple of hours of some community service at a local YMCA. I've never even thought about doing it since. I was a good kid - just trying to be a little rebellious with a friend. I'm sure she's a great girl - probably just trying to find herself. I wish you the best of luck!

If the store is in a mall in California, you will probably get a fine. This happened to my daughter several years ago. usually the fine is 200 on up. But since you have a prior issue with the law, (dont know if you wer convicted or not), you might have community service or probation added on.
Since you are a minor, it is unlikely you will see jail time, but if the offense is serious enough you could spend time in juvinal hall.
good luck to you .

Since this was your second juvenile offense, yes the bomb threat counts, you could be faced with probation and a fine. If the judge is harsh, you may face a small amount of time in a detention center. I highly suggest that you stop this destructive path of behavior. Stealing gets you no where in life.

You will get a minimum of 6 months probation, $500 to $1000 fine, and possibly will get 100 hours of community service because of your priors.

honestly i'd get a lawyer, of course at 14 you probably can't afford one, but if you never left the store i don't think it is a criminal offense, try to get a public defender if your parents won't foot the bill for an attorney

You will more than likely get probation, community service would not be a bad idea either, but I doubt you will be detained.

The punishment will be decided by the judge. If it were me, I would be very contrite and show up in court dressed modestly.

Hopefully you have a lawyer. You need one. If you do not have one then see if your parents will pay for one ASAP.
