If anyone thinks Bush can clean up this mess of a war before he leaves office, they are pretty darn ignorant.

As a sidenote, I KNEW that this surge would only increase the enemy's recruitment drive.
It's like I've always said. Once we step up our game, they'll step up theirs.

That is obviously Bush's intent. To keep up a pretense--regardless of how many American troops he murders in the process--until the election. Then the GOP right wing will try to blame the Democrats for Bush's failure.

Did you think it was all going to end the day it happened?? Aug. is suppose to be a bad month and if things don't look good in Sept. they will regroup. It isn't all Bush anymore, your demo congress is going along with it to.

Bush and the Pentagon said before the surge that the surge would cause an increase in violence and American casualties.

Since he was right, are you going to stick it now?
