Moving Pictures. That album featured the band at their peak sound performance skill in BOTH the studio and live concert arenas. Bear in mind Moving Pictures was cut BEFORE full digital sound implementation was set as recording studio standard.

Red Barchetta stands out as a great Rush powerchord ballad, as all three become a well knit crew of musicians. But it's the instrumental piece YYZ, where the essence of Moving Pictures really hits home, but is only appreciated by pure Rush fans.

Moving Pictures, Red Barchetta....I knew nothing about the band until my boyfriend took me to the concert in Mobile on the Moving pictures tour a long, long time ago. We had great seats--the Mobile arena was a small venue...I was completely blown away.

Now, when I'm stressed out, I drive country roads in my little sportscar and remember that great night when I was 16 and Peart and Lee were a few feet away from me and I was entranced.

I'd say Moving Pictures as well. YYZ is awesome! In fact, the front side of that album was about as good as they get. (If your old enough to remember actual albums!). I use to put the headphones on and go to bed with that album about everynite for a long time...Perfect.

Signals and Moving pictures...from signals I would choose 'Loosing it', though the whole album seems to me too complete to separate the songs. From Moving Pictures - Witch hunt and Tom Sawer.
