Condoleeza Rice has changed the shape of our world, and you don't even know it. The Middle East is changing, folks. It's not all about Iraq. She's brilliant.
Unfortunately, she hates politics, so if the Republican party wanted her candidacy, then she would take the call to lead her country. She'd make a great president. I hope they could talk her into being the VP for Fred Thompson.

Well, theoretically there is a chance, but she would have to run first. Currently there is no sign that she has any intention of running for office. Honestly, for a Republican, I think she would do a pretty good job. That said, she has a major thing going against her besides the fact that she is black and a woman (two things that should not make any difference, but probably would). The big thing is that she is Bush's secretary of state. The backlash against him is very strong, and rightfully so, and it would be difficult for her to shed the label of being Bush's crony. She would basically have to admit to playing a part in lies that have been told, and that would be difficult to live down. It is possible, but would involve a heck of a campaign. I think her chances are pretty slim. Too bad, too.

No, Condoleeza Rice is widely perceived as little more than Bush's mouthpiece and she hasn't accomplished anything of real import. Condi with an iron fist? The thought of that is so far out there that it brings a smile to my face.

You could not have made a worse choice than Rice. She has been completely ineffectual in office, not even a decent shill for the President.
She does not have the willpower or personality to be President or even initiate a campaign.

No. I used to want her to run - thought she was superwoman - but I'm not sure she's handling diplomatic affairs very well. She's brilliant, but she has faults too. She also hates politicking.

i believe that in the elections past 2008 she'll have the best chance of winning the presidential spot, but this year the entire nation is set on "i hate bush, and republicans because of him" so until the tide turns back towards republicans there's hardly any chance any person not a democrat or independent will get the white house

Before I respond to your question please allow me to tell you that I have been defined by liberals as a racist for not supporting Obama. Now, to the point. I am disappointed that Ms. Rice is not a candidate for '08 for I would most assuredly vote for her. Furthermore, if I could name the ticket, her running mate would be former U.S. Congressman J.C. Watts of Oklahoma. There you have it, an all black ticket designed by a "racist."
