I have this crazy neighbor who hates me even though I don't even speak to her. She threatens me and even tries to make a race issue out of it when she is pressed to find one thing that I have acutally done to her. I don't deal with her but I had to call the cops because she started throwing stuff at my car and now I heard her saying she was going to pretend my dog bit her. She even accused me of trying to steal her man which would make her race issue wrong but I have been married and living here for nearly 10 years now and never had a problem with anyone else if there was something going on we would just ask and compromise with others.

I just can't take it anymore and I don't want to move yet we need to save more for a down payment. My dog is dying and she hasn't even notices but yet we apparently torcure her with him even though he is never out with out a leash unless he is behind a six foot fence mostly with us with him other than five minutes or less to go to the bathroom.

It's legal, but it probably won't stop the crazy neighbor. There's most likely a mental problem, so be careful. Keep contacting police when you have to - talk with them when they investigate and ask for their recommendations. They can advise a safe course from what they are observing.

Talk with your other neighbors to see if they are having problems. If nothing else, make them aware of the problem so you have extra eyes watching the problem.

Moving is an unfortunate alternative, but you don't have a "home" if you're miserable and have a time-bomb living next door. Check with a Realtor about relocating, and there are a lot of companies financing now without down payments. You'll probably find a fixed rate mortgage at a good rate near what you are paying now.

Not only is it LEGAL to video tape things going on in your own yard, you can also video tape in the road in case someone is driving by and causing damage to your home. I would also get a no contact order, and use the police records as proof that you have had problems with her in the pass.

Yep, absolutely. However, I would advise you to pony up the dough and have it done by a real security provider. Otherwise you may end up wasting your money.
