If you cake your hands with vaseline and wear rubber or latex gloves to bed, you will have baby soft hands the next morning. It is easy, just a bit uncomfortable, but you get used to it. Try it every night for a week, then a couple nights a week thereafter. Then any lotion during the day after washing. :)

I keep two lovely dispensers right by every sink in my home, one contains lotion enriched liquid soap and one contains lotion. Every time I wash my hands, I apply lotion afterward. When I'm on the go, I carry lotion enriched anti-bacterial waterless cleaner that I use frequently. But, I used to be a hand model and the habit got drilled in rather early.

Vasaline, and Lotion, also some berts bees stuff work. You can buy these really cool wax thingies, it melts the wax which has lotion in it and then you put you hands in it, and the wax will dry on you hands. Keeps them really soft.

Find a product containing mostly shea butter. It's cheap and it works. I have been using this lately and it works better than anything else I've tried.
