While most of the movie was only slightly entertaining for me, I perked up at the end of the movie, when Mandy Moore's character chose one of her two boyfriends over the other, because he said to her, "You get me."

Is that reason enough to choose one over another?

Possibly, sometimes a guy might say that but be blinded into thinking that because he cares for the girl. You have to ask yourself, does he really believe that. And then again, if it is true, do you really like what it is you get?

Simply stated, it should have been named "Do as I say not as I do" but that is really too long of a title.

The point of the movie is that the mother wants the daughter to find a man this is the only way she can get her to find a good man.

In the end the mother finds a man too which is her taking her own advice, doing as she does.

And as for why she chose the man she did was because she realized the other guy was into her mother's image of her and not her own image of herself. When she realized who she was it made perfect sense who she should go out with.

Maybe...however, I thought that movie was pretty shallow in depicting relationships. Hopefully in real life, there'd be a lot more to it than that.
