I think it's essential and whether you know it or not, you've already contacted yours. People think that all spirit guides talk to you like a normal person .. show up in a mist of light but it's not true. Your spirit guide is your intuition. Your first guess, the warning you hear in the back of your mind that when you don't listen to bad things happen. Some people "hear" theirs in stronger ways or are more intune with theirs or seem to connect with theirs easily but really we all do it on one level or another.

Yes , the elements of the earth air fire and water and animals are my spirit guides because am wiccan and belief in the natural forces of the earth and being close to them as possible as in skyclad naked mother earth is very spiritual
