Support the moderate Iranians and over throw the nut case before he starts a nuclear war. (His stated goal.)
Kill him if the moderates are unsuccessful.
Let the Syrians know they are in the cross hairs also. Just a little FYI if you know what I mean.

The first requirement is to understand the culture that you are dealing with. Secondly you must consider the President of Iran to be a reasonable person, if you are going to make progress. Iran does not want American culture imposed upon it. It follows the teaching of the Koran. Iran has no wish to follow the dictates of the rest of the world any more than the United States of America wishes to follow the dictates of the rest of the world.
The present President of Iran in my estimation is moderate as Iranian politicians come, although name-calling and disrespect may incline him to a more radical policy.
There needs to be dialog based on the issues that are of concern. The way to get Iran to comply with the wishes of the world, is to establish a commonality of wishes that are embraced by both Iran and the rest of the world. This delineation of commonality of wishes, would then be the starting point to substantive diplomacy and problem and conflict resolution.
Peace through mutual cooperation and understandings.
Seek peace and pursue it!!!!

1. Quit exporting goods to them.
2. Quit importing ANYTHING from them, including oil.
The only reason they can is because we support their economy. Let their economy collapse, and that would solve the problem.
