Does anyone have any new info on whether this will happen or not? I really enjoyed the first two installments.

I'm not a real hard-core gamer so I don't know if the news is out there and I can't find it or whether there just isn't any.

Thanks in advance,
DT

It's all rumors so far...

Supposedly Obsidian games has been discussing working on it with LucasArts.

That would be great, I think the original Knights of the Old Republic remains one of the greatest games EVER (even with whiny Carth, lol)

So far the only Star Wars games that are making headlines and creating big buzz is that of Star Wars The Force Unleashed and I have recently seen something about a third Star Wars Legos game. If any word has gotten out about Knights of the Old Republic III you better believe you would have heard about it by now hardcore gamer or not. But I am pretty sure there would be a third one for the next-gen of games. Imagine the possibilities of that game being on a next-gen and it stacked up with the quality of the first title.

This is just a guess as no one really knows. LucasArts and their developer (most likely Obsidian) are working on KOTOR III currently. News about it will not be released until it is finished or near completion, to avoid problems that have occurred in the past (KOTOR II being rushed because of its Christmas deadline, or as in the case of other major titles, major disappointment due to long delays). My guess is we'll be seeing some actual news this Fall about it, and most likely a 2008 release.

Then again, that's just me being hopeful. The news I currently see is speculatory, and all I can say is LucasArts has said they are still committed to continuing KOTOR and Battlefront.
