Do you have a favorite fictional character?

i have loads but dorothea from middlemarch (george eliot) is one of my current favourites. the last line is about her and it chokes me. she's a very humble, intelligent and caring person who doesn't do anything out of the ordinary but is a wonderful person
(i had to copy it because i couldn't remember it word for word):

" . . for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs."

i just love that line.

I don't have one favorite fictional character, but my favorites are the fictional characters that I have created myself (I write novels).

In the novel I am writing now, Antonio and Maude are the main characters. Antonio is deeply imaginative, yet brilliant and very protective of who he cares about. Maude is creative, assertive, confident, and full of attitude, yet still is an ideal friend. Their wanderlust drives them to leave their home cities-New York City and Atlanta-and fate brings them together, as well as does their common passion: writing poetry.
