The "electronica" version of Tainted Love goes back to 1982. I believe the band was named "Talk Talk".

Rihanna recorded a song called "S. O. S." to the beat of "Tainted Love" with electronica overtones. Even though it is to the "Tainted Love" beat, it is an entirely different song.

there is not a whole lot of information to go on there, but a search on yahoo for "tainted love lyrics" found that there are a bunch of artists with this song. some of that i found that may be what you are looking for" pussycat dolls, soft cell gloria jones, atrocity, marlyin manson, shades apart.

since you are looking for the electronic version, i would guess that soft cell would be your best bet, although i did come across a result for dj irene. hope this helps

unhappy or ROCK? ok.. i'm undecided on that. If via unhappy you propose.... sluggish and form of emo... Evanescence has a large type of those, besides as rock, which includes: hi such as you My Immortal Your famous person lacking All that i'm living For candy Sacrifice Weight of the international Going under The Veronicas: All I relatively have heavily broken In yet another life somebody Wake Me Up My Chemical Romance has a large type of solid rock songs, and so does Switchfoot.

I know Rihanna sampled the song for her hit "SOS"

The words are different, but the background is the same as "Tainted Love"

hope that's what you were looking for!

Do you mean, S.O.S., by Rihanna? That borrows the music with different lyrics.
