I think the answer is obvious. "People can't accept differences from each other". There will always be racism in the world. People in America just like to pretend like it's gone away..

Today it is not so much about racism but about wealth.

If a bunch of suburbian white upperclass people does not want to grant a good public school to their poor colored neighbors in that other quarter they will move heaven and earth to make sure that none of the poor kids is in the same school as their own spawn.

If the kids don't get good education they will get the bad jobs. Their children attend the same bad school, and here we go again...

That's modern racism, without saying the word "n*gg*r" too loud in public places.

It goes back in history. As long as there is hate in the world I feel that racism will still exist. Children are raised to hate and see differences and then they teach their children and so on and so forth. Society also has a part in it. Stereotyping different races. I teach my children to know that their are differences in people but not to hate them because they are different.

Racism today is not about equality. It is a power struggle. Which side/racial group has the most power, which race can gather the most votes? That is the prob. today.

Racism will still be here, whether we like it or not. It is up to us to believe that we are all God's children, regardless of skin color.
