My husband really treats me as if he is better than me and then ignores me to to what he wants! When I want to do something for myself he tells me that I am selfish and inconsiderate to want some time to have any kind of fun!! When he treats me this way I feel it is easier to talk to others about it and not him. I espically ask other men why he is treating me this way. Why is it easier to talk to others, including men, than my controling husband? What should I do?

it is easier to talk to other people because they are actually listening to you while your husband is only hearing you, but not listening.
ask him if he sees marriage as a partnership, and if he sees you as his partner. Then tell him it feels like a father-daughter relationship and that he is acting like a domineering father.
You can even demand for what you want. Demand for him to listen to you, to go to marital counseling, to make you his partner.
But you should have a plan for what if your demands are not met.

You have two problems here. 1. A controlling husband. This will not change so you have to decide what to do with the rest of your life. 2. You are talking to other men about this. Big NO NO. Talk to other women. This will lead to big time trouble in many directions.

Because your stuck in a marriage where you are de-valued respected honored and cared for. You feel its easy to talk to men because im sure everyone is asking how and way can u stay with this man, welll im using man here very lightly because he sounds like a self centered boy. Good luck girl get out you would deserve better.

The reason you find it easier to talk to men about your situation is because you want advice or opinons from a males perspective. What you should do is write your husband a letter telling him how you feel once he sees it in writing it might sink in.

I lived this life for over 10 years it will not get better it will only get worse..I know that hurts to hear..Yes man like this think they are better then you...He wants to keep you to himself.That is why he shoots down you question and answer...Just becareful..Be yourself and don't let him get you down..You want to go do something...You go do it without him then....
