This might be a good time to prepare in case you get seasick. Natural remedies include Seabands (look for them online) and ginger (candy, cookies,etc). You can also get over-the-counter seasickness drugs or even prescription patches (must be applied a day or two before you go). Also, sunscreen and hats! And appropriate clothes for any stops you might make.
Not to be a downer, but it's important to remember that many of the remote beaches outside the US don't have lifeguards. If you are caught in a riptide, you might not have help. And there isn't Life Flight. So it's good to be careful!

mask & snorkel (the water is crystal clear), insect repellant because some of the villages do have malaria, bottled water if you can manage it, don't expect a lot of amenities. You'll probably get a bed, meals and a hammock where you stay so anything more than that you'll need to bring.

Plenty of money because sometimes the Kunas will charge you a dollar just to photograph them,a camera,and INSECT REPELLANT !

take a CAMERA!!!! a VIDEO CAMERA and cashhhhhh!!! Flip flops, bathing suit, sun lotion,
Expect native panamanians (Inidans) to come to you to try to sell molas or other things(crafts, they are very persuasive, Please buy one in my name and hang it in your living room...If you like lobsters..tell the idians you want to eat lobster (very inexpenssive) and enjoy....
