i doubt it. with my experience, marriages never last when people get married just because they're having a kid. my mom and dad got married after mom found out she was pregnant. they got married when i was about 2 months old. they got divorced when i was a year old. so they're marriage didnt even last a year.

It's hard enough when 2 people in love marry. The chances are approximately 50/50 that it will last. Being forced into a marriage because of a child, I give it a 1% chance of it lasting.

PROBABLY not. I mean, it could becaus they may have the bond of marriage already and are already planning to spend thier lives together.
A man can "do the right thing" without marrying the girl. People have babies together all the time but that doesnt mean they are compatible. I think a child should live in a healthy, happy environment even if that means their parents are not together.
Everyone has a right to be happy. If the child's father/mother makes the other happy, great! If no, you dont HAVE to do it. Find someone that will make you happy.

no it will not last. As he is being forced into doing something because it is his duty. He will love the child but the girl will feel frustrated as he will not love her. If he loved the girl in the first place, there is a chance, but this suggests that he is being forced, so the answer is no. Marriage is a partnership, it takes two to make it work

It could. But if that is the only reason they got married then more then likely it won't. It is really hard to make a marriage work when people get married b/c they love each other. Can you imagine getting married for any other reason? It can be so hard and you have to make it work. You have to want it!

Actually what usually happens is that the stay together for the child. When the child is grown, they suddenly realize why they got married in the first place and it falls apart. I will say that you can fall in love with someone after the fact though. They used to prearrange marriages all the time.

Depends. But most often not. However who is to say your situation won't work out. Look marriage is being used here as a punishment.
What you really need to do is making sure he provides for the child. So make sure you get all his information just in case he skips so you can take him to court and get child support.
Then again maybe you both will learn to love each other.
Good Luck

It could. It depends on how much they liked each other (hopefully pretty well to have been physically involved). And that like could turn to love. Also if they work on making the marriage work they could be happy together and last a long, long time. Good luck and God Bless.

It may... anything can work if people force it to. But a marriage not out of love is not a marriage that will last HAPPILY.

No one forces anyone to get married. Having a child together isn't a good reason to get married unless they were already planning to get married before the pregnancy.
