There are 17 to 20 species of PENGUINS and they can be found from Antarctica to the Galapagos Islands. They do live almost exclusively in the Southern Hemisphere, but most species live in more temperate climates, contrary to most public perception.

They are flightless, aquatic birds. They evolved that way because of food supplies and predators.
