This is in response to the whole Nazi Flag burning situation.
Far-leftist means the parties involved are probably pro-facist, which doesn't equal liberal democrat.

Dead Fox: You're wrong. Anarchist would be far RIGHT, which calls for no government control whatsoever.
Far LEFT wants complete government control.

In fact, I think it would be logical to say (as some of you have) that Facism actually seems to work as both far-right and far-left.
On the one hand, it is anti-communist; however, it relies on a dictatorship and complete control.

You're right about Far Leftist not meaning liberal. I'm on the Far Left, meaning socialist. The fair redistribution of wealth & income for the good of society & by society, public ownership of most major modes of production, and collective decision-making by the people on a local level.
You're wrong about Far Left being pro-fascist, however. Fascists redistribute wealth & income to the "Nation", ie Political Leadership, and this redistribution is decided by the Fascist Leadership.
Fascists are on the Far Right of the political spectrum (verging on 1-person Dictatorship), not the Far Left (verging on Community/Society Government).

Fascists are far right as any educated person in political science can tell you.Far left are communists. They're not the same and throughout history have always been opponents.
Fascism is a form of extreme right-wing ideology that celebrates the nation or the race as an organic community transcending all other loyalties. It emphasizes a myth of national or racial rebirth after a period of decline or destruction. To this end, fascism calls for a "spiritual revolution" against signs of moral decay such as individualism and materialism, and seeks to purge "alien" forces and groups that threaten the organic community. Fascism tends to celebrate masculinity, youth, mystical unity, and the regenerative power of violence. Often, but not always, it promotes racial superiority doctrines, ethnic persecution, imperialist expansion, and genocide. At the same time, fascists may embrace a form of internationalism based on either racial or ideological solidarity across national boundaries. Usually fascism espouses open male supremacy, though sometimes it may also promote female solidarity and new opportunities for women of the privileged nation or race

Yes I knew this. You can be so far left that you actually lean towards the right. And some people are more economic left along with conservative values as far as morals go. Alot of situations go into extreme political belief. It seems to me that the U.S. has a left and right wing of the corparate class. We need a labor party... yep
To Matt, who is right above me...um dude WW2 Germany was National Socialist. It started out as a workers party. So it's not so easy just to place things as right or left when it comes to extreme leanings.

Nazi is a shortened term for National Socialism. Socialism is the left-end of the spectrum. Totalitarianism is evident in all extreme edges of the political compass. If you take the literal definition of the term liberal you are correct, but that is oversimplifying to the extreme and pandering to your idiotic leftist brethren as evidenced by earlier answers (I love the one about fox news watchers, you just go ahead and keep discounting your enemy sweetheart). The term liberal has evolved to refer to the socialist/communist/ multiculturalist extremists that have hijacked the Democratic party.
As was stated before fascism is not relegated to either end of the spectrum but is where the line wraps back around. There is Capitalist Totalitarianism and Communist Totalitarianism.

Hello Many in Wall Street sector are partial and have conservative values..To put a label on...Well I would say leaning to the Right. But it didn't bother them to go to the Communist Bankers with their hats in hand to ask for help. The message is, like it or not we need each other. tom

Ya see, that's the problem. Because liberal has become synonymous with the far left. If I were a Democrat and someone called me a liberal I would be offended. The democrat party appears to have a marketing problem.

Far-leftists aren't fascists. They're primarily communists and socialists, but they have influenced far too many liberals, which tarnishes any good they've done or want to do. JFK was a liberal, but he was a hardline anti-communist too.

Far leftist means anarchist or communist, usually.
When you get into fascism and control over the government you open up the second axis.
