I received an email of my personal tutor, but in the CC heading there are two email addresses of two other lecturers on my course.

Has my personal tutor sent them copies of the email he sent to me! If so, why would he want to do that?

Im getting a bit worried

I was panicking about an essay to do with lexicography, and really though that i couldnt do it, so i emailed him saying i was struggling on the essay.

He emails me back saying that i advise you to hand it in, and that you can come back next semester and take up another module.

He has emailed this message to the teacher who teaches lexicography and another man. Why did he need to do this?

As far as I know (in my very limited knowledge of things cyber) cc stands for carbon copy which means, yes, your tutor sent copies of his e-mail to you to those two other lecturers shown.
The easiest thing to do is simply to ask your tutor why he did it.
In any case, until you have an answer, I wouldn't worry. He could just be keeping them informed or covering his butt. You don't say what the nature of the e-mail was, so I'm assuming it was about your work.

Carbon Copy.... Its just copying more people on the email.. Not much different from putting thier email addresses in the first line

CC stands for carbon copy or courtesy copy, in the context of letter- or email-writing

CC: Courtesy Copy
BCC: Blind Courtesy Copy

The CC means that he sent the email to whomever is in the CC block. They got exactly what you got.

It just means a copy was sent to these other people. It's standard in professional correspondence and serves to keep everyone aware of professional communication.
